Abstract

Spectrum efficiency is the key that measures performance in the 5G communication system. By adopting advanced Spectrum sharing techniques i.e., NOMA, spectrum efficiency is improved significantly. This paper provides a survey of the NOMA techniques for spectrum sharing in 5G networks. By taking different evolutions, this paper emphasizes the research issues and potential challenges of NOMA towards the 5G scenario. Finally, the conclusion of the article is discussed.
