Abstract
The availability of water in peat areas in Central Kalimantan is very abundant throughout the year, but the available water can not be utilized maximally by the community. In general, the process of peat water treatment does not differ much from other fresh water. The main problem in treating peat water is related to the specific characteristics it has. The characteristics of peat water need a scientific study on the effect of the addition of alum and clay on the level of water clarity in peatlands, in order to meet the water requirements that are safe for public consumption. Important to know is related to the optimum combination of alum and clay addition treatments.
