Abstract

Cavitation as name suggests is a topic of research in turbo machinery. Whenever a sharp object moves or rotates inside fluid there is a danger of cavitation. This drew our attention to this topic and an urge to find whether it can have any advantages or not. As the bursting of cavitation bubbles produces shock waves which possesses great amount of energy and we wondered whether this source of energy can be used anywhere for constructive purposes. So we came across many advantages of cavitation and we have listed it in our paper. By this paper we try to change the perception of people who think that cavitation is a bad phenomenon. After reading the paper they will be convinced of the fact that cavitation is more a boon and less a bane.
