Abstract

The Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) issued a paper on the 15 May 2019 titled: “The Constitution of Australia: Revisiting Reform”. At that time the ALRC identified the Australian Constitution itself as a potential topic for law reform and invited proposals for an inquiry.

China's spheres of governance are constantly changing and expanding and it is important that Australia review its own instrument of governance (federal constitution) to ensure that it can respond effectively to the very real political challenges ahead.

This brief article identifies 100 terms of governance currently used in China today as a first step in developing theoretical tools for the constitutional review and reform Australia must urgently undertake.
