Abstract

Reflects on the Government's March 2021 response to Law Commission proposals for updating the Land Registration Act 2002. Examines key responses, including that the Act confirms that a persons' ability to seek rectification of the register should not be a property right, and notes the proposals it does not accept. Details the progress of the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Bill 2021-22, and the Government's efforts to relaunch commonhold.
