Abstract

The legal profession's traditional conception of professional identity is directly challenged by the increasingly visible efforts among many lawyers to integrate their own religious beliefs with their practice of law. This paper explores the so-called "religious lawyering movement" and analyzes its compatibility with the liberal presumptions on which the legal system is based.
