Abstract

After thinking through the situation in which an employee had given inaccurate information, thus alienating a client, the senior partner of the accounting firm ultimately decides to take no action against the employee. Having opted not to create a stir within the company or between the company and its client, the partner now must think about the effect the incident has had on him personally. These cases give students the opportunity to evaluate the consequences of different courses of action both in their careers and personal lives. See also the A case (UVA-E-0280).
