Bank of Korea Economic Research Institute Research Paper Series

The Bank of Korea Economic Research Institute (BOKERI) is the main research arm of the Bank of Korea (BOK), undertaking in-depth research in order to support the BOK's role as the central bank. Following the recent global financial crisis, the mandates of the central bank have been extended to include financial stability as well as price stability. To maintain stability and sustained growth of the Korean economy, the BOKERI carries out a broad range of research, which covers not only monetary policy but also issues on macroeconomics, financial economics, international economics, and microeconomics.

The BOKERI contributes to the establishment and implementation of monetary policy through world-leading research on current economic issues and prospective challenges by publishing high-quality research papers in "BOK Working Papers" and an academic professional journal, "Economic Analysis." The views expressed in the research papers are those of authors and do not necessarily reflect the official views of the Bank of Korea.
