"Equal opportunities and equity in health and health care are values that inspire my research: Everyone deserves a fair chance to live a long and healthy life in dignity."
Martin Siegel is Junior Professor for Empirical Health Economics at the Technische Universität Berlin since March 2018. In his work, he aims to identify causes of health inequalities, to develop strategies to avoid avoidable inequalities, and to contribute to shaping an equitable and efficient healthcare system for everyone. For this, he uses and refines statistical methods for both health economics evaluations and epidemiology that allow him to explicitly describe diversity and heterogeneity.
