Ideas:
“  My research focuses on the interplay of science and law, allowing me to bring myscientific perspective to legal questions. I work primarily in environmental law, but through environmental law, my scholarship also explores administrative law, federalism, the role of geography in law, societal norms in law, and international law. My scholarship has two goals–to advance the field of law and to be useful to practicing lawyers, judges, and policy makers in the environmental field. Environmental law is a young field and an actively developing area of practice, and as our scientific understanding grows and our environmental challenges evolve, environmental law must continue to evolve with them. My legal and scientific training allow me to produce scholarship that addresses issues at the forefront of this evolution.  ”
