“  I am a PhD Researcher in Law at Salamanca University (Spain), focusing on the legal implications for the EU of a Member State withdrawal. As a British national in Spain, I have benefitted all my life from EU citizenship, so was both personally and professionally impacted by Brexit. The referendum, which took place during my LLM in European Studies, was the moment I decided to become a university professor by writing my Thesis on this historic event. I have also worked as a legal trainee at the Court of Justice in Luxembourg and as a research assistant for the Odysseus Network at the European Institute of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.  ”
