“  Crowd funding for Sustainable Low-cost Housing creations in Lagos, NigeriaOdulaja T.O ,Oginni A.O, , Oginni F. O Abstract The housing sector in Nigeria has been found to be in crisis. One of the major problems bedevilling the housing sector is inadequate funding. In Lagos, the few available houses are built with funds either privately sourced or those obtained from banks as loans at high interest rates, thereby making it above the reach of a vast number of the populace. However, in Real Estate practice, Crowd funding itself and the regulatory environment that will govern it are yet in its infancy. This paper explored how it can be useful as a tool to revitalise the housing stock and alleviate deficits in Lagos state. A hundred questionnaires were administered to land or home owners as well as stakeholders in the built industry such as Real Estate managers. Recommendations include adapting the crowd funding platforms to the Nigerian context to make it more appealing or attractive.  ”
