Ideas:
“  I am working on the following issues arising from my EU Commission funded grant on Judicial Co-Operation for Economic Recovery in Europe:- preventive restructuring processes in the European Union, the differing approaches of member states.- judicial and court co-operation in the European Union in a comparative context- rescue for small and medium sized businesses, reality or myth?A second area I am working on relates to corporate law theory. I am taking a 'law matters' approach and believe that the modern corporation can be reformed significantly taking a closer look at some of the long standing principles within the corporation. As present I am revisiting the idea of the shareholder with 'splintered' ownership which I discussed in Working Within Two Kinds of Capitalism (Hart, 2003) and developing these ideas particularly in the context of groups.  ”
