My research is mainly focused on the study of the role of Immunoglobulin Superfamily (PD-1/PD-L1) and TNF/TNFR (HVEM/LIGHT/BTLA/CD160) Superfamily molecules involved in the exchange of information between T and B cells, or between T cells and DC to modulate the immune response in two directions: attenuation in the context of transplantation or enhance it against tumor antigens in the cancer research field. Indeed, the HVEM/LIGHT/BTLA/CD160 costimulatory/coinhibitory pathway has emerged during the last decade as a potential target for developing immune therapeutic interventions.
