Working on a paper that quantifies the tax-drag avoidance alpha of moving taxable funds into a tax-free retirement wrapper. This extends to a Roth conversion's Synthetic Roth Contribution component as well as the conversion induced reduction in future RMDs that would otherwise have been reinvested in a taxable account. This dual conversion alpha framework tracks these future positive cashflows and discounts back to PV for improved Roth conversion decision making.
