Abstract

The paper presents and analyses the possible effects of the UNESCO Convention on Cultural Diversity (CCD) on both strands of international economic law: the multilateral WTO regime and the multitude of PTAs. While the analysis shows that the immediate legal effect on international economic law would be a limited one, the CCD's political relevance could very well make it the starting point for new legal developments.
