Abstract

The public availability of large eCommerce datasets from websites such as Amazon.com and eBay.com, coupled with technological advancements in collecting, storing, and manipulating large datasets has lead to a growing number of studies that apply statistical models to large samples for the purpose of answering research questions. Statistical inference, mostly designed for small sample sizes, is now being applied to large datasets.

Keywords: large datasets, inference, p-values
