Abstract
Lawyers can learn from Quality Assurance efforts in other professions. Providing a forum for client complaints apart from the disciplinary process would help forestall a public crisis that could bring more official regulation. Voluntary and rewarded efforts to develop and implement quality criteria should be encouraged.
