Abstract

This is the guest editors' introduction to a special issue of the Journal of Management Education, in which questions concerning management education in the context of poverty are identified and discussed and approaches to this form of education are proposed. The introduction outlines a number of the potential problems in transplanting styles of management education developed in affluent countries into environments of poverty, whether in 'developing' countries or communities in affluent nations, and introduces the papers comprising the special issue.
