The B case concerns the initial announcement of merger terms between the two firms and the first steps taken to "sell" the merger to Volvo's stockholders. The tasks for the student are to evaluate the merger terms, identify potential obstacles, and suggest an action plan by which Volvo's CEO might achieve shareholder support for the merger.
