The Development Challenges of the Asian LDCs

Abstract

As we all concerned that there are fourteen LDCs in Asia, they are - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Kiribati, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor Leste, Tuvalu, Vanuatu. In LDCs majority of population lives at or below income levels that they cannot meet basic needs. They have constraints in Supply-side. They High levels of export concentration (especially in a few primary commodities), Face economic vulnerability (according to a variety of indicators) and highly vulnerable to external shocks (natural and man-made).

LDCs are facing the following major challenges towards development: 01. Food security for all 02. Facilitating Education for all 03. Employment generation 04. Health facility for all 05. Good governance 06. Infrastructure development Completing in the field of globalization etc.
