Abstract

This article advises students to enhance their resumes by getting an article published. A published article makes for a more impressive writing sample in a job interview. It also shows that you can write, that you have a genuine interest in a particular subject, and that you know how to get clients. Several articles in a particular subject can help you establish yourself as an expert in that area.

This article discusses reasons to write, how to select a topic, how to find places that will publish the article, and steps to take to be sure that the article reflects well on you professionally.

Keywords: Career advice, legal careers
