Abstract

The article introduces the recent amendment to Israel's Telecom Act, which became effective December 1, 2008. The Act imposes stiff penalties on companies sending unsolicited commercial communications to existing or potential customers without prior opt-in consent. It thus warrants technical, organizational and commercial readiness.
