Abstract

This piece discusses the most common citation errors law students (primarily first-years) make, particularly when using case citations in practitioner documents. I offer explanations for the mistakes and possible solutions. But why should students and their teachers care about common citation errors? Three reasons: journals, seminar papers, and jobs.
