Abstract
The Principles of American Law Institute (ALI) governing jurisdiction, choice of law and judgments in transnational disputes in the field of intellectual property were published in autumn 2008. These principles constitute a great advance in transnational disputes affecting two or more states, since their aim is not to compile the American legal criteria in force, but to provide useful solutions to most current issues in litigation over intellectual property rights.
