Capabilities of the Tourism Satellite Account for Measuring the Macroeconomic Impacts of Tourism (in Bulgarian)

Abstract

The study examines the Tourism Satellite Account as a tool for measuring the macroeconomic impacts of tourism. In Chapter One the essence, structure, strengths and weaknesses of the Tourism Satellite Account are elaborated. In Chapter Two the macroeconomic impacts of tourism are defined and the possibilities for their measurement with the help of the Tourism Satellite Account are examined - the impacts of tourism on Gross domestic product, employment and income, balance of payments.

On the basis of the research conclusions are made and recommendations for improving the Tourism Satellite Account are given (report in Bulgarian language).
