Abstract

In this undisguised case, Jewel Savadelis has creates for herself the marketing director's position for the home video-game division at Atari, Inc. Less than 90 days into her new job, Savadelis is asked to supervise the 15 programmers who produce these games--and the revenues for the division. The three senior programmers advise Savadelis that they will permit her to become their supervisor under certain conditions. Savadelis must decide whether to take the job and, if so, under what conditions. (Follow-up cases are PACS-0020 and PACS-0021.)
