Abstract

A secure PKI based system for e-voting was developed. We tested the application, several organizational aspects, and usability in fourteen field trials. In this paper we describe the method and findings. What do we learn about turnout, about the logistics of organizing e-voting, and about usability and reliability of the system in practice?

Keywords: e-voting, usability, turnout
