Abstract

Bangladesh was known as the 'Greanest Country' of World due to its natures and overwhelming presence of green trees and hilly areas. But now due to the presence of piles of refuses dotting and improper waste management, the clean lines of the city has been facing acute degradation. The study aims at exploring the present scenario of solid waste management in Bangladesh. This paper highlights the status of waste generation and its management, obstacles to proper waste management. Finally it suggests some guidelines in the way of proper waste management.
