Market Democracy: Economic Freedom and Social Justice

Abstract

Can the classical liberal program of economic freedom and limited government be morally justified? I believe that it can be. In this paper I outline an interpretation of classical liberalism that I call market democracy. Market democracy affirms economic freedom as a requirement of social justice.
