Abstract

Article 572 of the Israeli civil code proposal deals with anticipatory breach of obligations. At first glance, this article is similar to the existing Article 17 of the Israeli Law of Contract (Remedies for Breach of Contract)-1971. In a second glimpse, however, one may discover some fundamental differences between the two articles. The paper examines Article 572, dealing with the differences between the proposed article and the existing one, and suggests some changes and additions to the new article.

Keywords: contracts, anticipatory breach
