Abstract
This paper promotes the situational analysis as a new approach to organisational research and consulting. This new approach encompasses both system thinking and action thinking. The multi-level theoretical model, developed for the application of situational analysis, includes four distinctive levels of analysis - the individual behaviour, organisational factors, managerial decisions, and environmental conditions.
