This short article is a memorial to the life of the late lawyer and federal Judge A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. Discussed along with biographical details, are his roles as lawyer, advocate, mediator, scholar, judge, mentor, advisor, expert witness, and teacher. Specifically mentioned is his life-long quest as an opponent of racial segregation and discrimination, and for the overall advancement of civil rights.
