This editorial discusses the problem posed by the issue of the contribution of companies to the mitigation of climate change, where the IPCC has stated that: ‘Even though a broad range of cost-effective [greenhouse gas] mitigation technologies exist, a variety of […] barriers prevent their full realisation in both developed and developing countries’. As a contribution to resolving this problem, the editorial suggests a merger between mainstream corporate governance and CSR.
