Abstract

As we grapple with dealing with the current H1N1 situation, noting the impoverished results of billions of dollars and four years of planning it is worthwhile to visit past recent epidemics to assess our overall capacity for disease investigation, both as to causes and spread. This piece will review the results of the 2008 Salmonella food poisoning incidents.
