Abstract

In response to a historically low number of minorities receiving head coaching opportunities at Division I FBS football-playing institutions, this opinion piece suggests that the time is right for an aggrieved job applicant to pursue Title VII litigation. The article further presents that the necessary precedents and legal standards are in place and that all that would be required to proceed with a case is a set of facts that represent how so many qualified minority coaches continue to be passed over for open positions.
