Abstract

The work of Andrei Marmor represents the most sophisticated contemporary account of legal conventionalism. After having enucleated the main tenets of his theory, this paper intends to underline some of the weakest points of Marmor's proposal. In particular, the focus is on the reductive account of the authoritative and normative character of the law.
