Abstract
How people perceive genetic advances? To answer this question, we developed a survey and we try to apply it to 100 people from seven Latin American countries - Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. Among the results are: the low relevance of the theme of protection of genetic resources, the reproach of human cloning techniques and the need for international standards to regulate the subject.
