Abstract

I propose a conception of intersectional praxis, a normative commitment to the application of intersectionality towards activism, as a spectrum in which action may range from 0 to n* where 0 reflects an unintersectional approach to activism, n represents intersectional praxis, and where the range captures observations falling between these endpoints. I suggest that allowing intersectional praxis to range in this way captures variation among positive and negative cases and permits attention to what factors cause said variation. I illustrate this argument via way of brief examples from the Costa Rican case.
