Abstract

UNSCR 1325, as one of the most important UN resolutions within the field of peace and security, was adopted unanimously on 31 October 2000. On several occasions, UN member states were invited to prepare national action plans in order to take strong steps towards the implementation of UNSCR 1325. This research analyzes the implementation of UNSCR 1325 in Ethiopia against a modest conceptual elucidation of the concept of ‘inclusive security’. The conceptual analysis paves the way for an evaluation of its implementation of under the rubric of inclusive security in Ethiopia so far.
