Abstract

This paper presents some recent developments in European and Dutch Private International Law. It discusses two recent developments having the potential to influence the possibility to sue European parent companies: the debate about the introduction of “forum non conveniens” in the Brussels I Regulation on the one hand, a recent Dutch judgment from the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam on the other hand.
