Abstract
“Oh no, do we have to?” is our mock horrified initial reaction to teaching emotions. Our second response, however, is “Well, if we have to, we’d better get good at it.” We go on to analyze how a series of exercises already widely used for other purposes could be adapted to perform double duty, to make students really think about their emotions.
