Abstract

This 5th Intergenerational Transmission of Poverty Research Brief reviews the findings of four recently commissioned papers, drawing out their implications for understanding, explaining and developing policy against childhood, life-course and intergenerationally transmitted poverty. It highlights recent work on: conflict and IGT in Northern Uganda; •exiting chronic poverty in Kenya; Q2 research on chronic poverty and development policy in Tanzania; IGT and inheritance: policy and practice.
