Abstract

The ADR (American Depositary Receipts) issuances by Indian companies, which were once the most favourite and prestigeous mode of fund raising, have been on decline during the recent years.

The aggregate amount rasied by Sterlite Industries through their ADR issuances works out to more than half of the total ADR issuances by Indian companies during the period of 2004 to 2009 YTD in terms of volume, with a 52% market share.
