Abstract

Citation analysis, as used for this study, measures the influence of journals by studying the number of citations to articles published in those journals. This paper reports the results of an Australian citation study of commercial law journals. Although the study reveals more citations to locally published commercial law journals than to their overseas counterparts, it indicates that Australian authors have a strong propensity to look internationally for ideas. Another finding is that a small number of commercial law journals wield significant influence.
