Abstract

This is the companion article to Hoosier Hysteria published on May 20, 2008. Basketball was invented in Massachusetts in 1891 but it was developed in Indiana and simply known as "The Game." This story sets out the depth and breadth of Indiana high school players and includes my All-Time Indiana High School Team. Please take note that March 2011 marks 100 years of the Indiana high school basketball tournament. This tournament is the real "March Madness." Oscar Robertson, of Crispus Attucks High School won back to back championships in 1955 and 1956. Oscar, to this very day, is considered the most complete basketball player on all levels (H.S., College & Pro.) in the history of basketball.

Keywords: Crispus Attucks, Oscar Robertson, Zach Randolph, Indiana Wesleyan Univ., Greg Oden
