Abstract

New Hampshire, the Granite State: Tucked between Vermont and Maine on the west and east and Massachusetts and Quebec to the south and north, this story is about basketball, education, winter sports and what New Hampshire introduced in 1952, the first-in-the-nation presidential primary. Since then only two persons have won the presidency without winning this contest. This story covers elite educational institutions such as Phillips Exeter Academy, Darmouth College and a bevy of other colleges of higher education. Take my word for it - this is one beautiful state, especially in the fall with its beautiful folliage that is breathtaking.
