Abstract
Retail productivity continues to be of significant concern to many organizations across the country. However, the various perspectives in the literature often imply inconsistent definitions and measurementofkey productivity-related concepts. The thrust of this paper is to provide definitional and conceptual clarity to the area and to discuss some significant productivity measurement problems.
