Abstract

This paper is trying to analyze the economic impact of nanotechnology and market prospect of nanotechnology in Asia Pacific Region. This study reveal that Japan, China and New Zealand has the most established Nanotechnology program. In the following year, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, Hong Kong and Vietnam launched national and regional nanotechnology initiatives. Subsequently in 2006, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia started nanotechnology programs and are planning to launch coordinated national initiatives in 2009. How the position of Indonesia compare to other Asia Pacific Countries is becoming the main question of this study.
