Abstract
The article comments on two books, "Abraham's Children: Race, Identity and the DNA of the Chosen People," by Jon Entine. Grand Central Publishing, 2007, 432 pages, and "Jacob's Legacy: A Genetic View of Jewish History," by David Goldstein. Yale University Press, 2009, 176 pages. It comments on the genetic basis of ethnic identity, and raises questions of genetic identity in general.
